With the winner of the Vendée Globe expected to reach Les Sables d’Olonne around 19th January, the organisers are moving back from the foot of the Eiffel Tower in Paris to Les Sables d’Olonne. Race HQ in Paris will close its doors tomorrow after Vendée Live at 1200UTC. The daily show will be back on Friday live from Port Olona at the same time. The official Vendée Globe Village opens its doors at 10 am local time on Saturday 14th January.
A giant screen in the Village in Les Sables d’Olonne will allow visitors to watch the first boat home with a live transmission from the finishing line to the pontoon and the interview with the skipper on the podium. Vendée Live (in English) will be live at 1200UTC with Will Carson and Andi Robertson. A press conference will be held with the skippers when they finish.
